Some of our pages feature advertising which is automatically selected by Google. Since these advertisements are selected automatically, we cannot comment on or endorse any particular advertisement -- and nor can we be influenced by the interests of any particular advertiser.

Our Advertising Policy

Advertising provided by Google helps us to offset the costs of providing as a free service, but if used irresponsibly, it could also prove to be a distraction for readers like you. We hope we've struck the right balance -- and who knows, maybe you'll even find a few of the advertisements actually interesting? These advertisements are provided automatically based upon Google's understanding of the content of a page and what it believes you may be interested in if you are reading that page -- so in theory, you should find that they are relevant to counselling or psychotherapy (or at least to books!).

In addition, we provide links to purchase books via Amazon, and sales made directly via those links result in a small payment (typically around 5% of the purchase price) back to the site. This site is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to and Amazon requires the following specific text about this programme: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." Note that none of your personal information is shared with us in any way: we see an aggregate list of which books have been purchased, but not by whom.

We welcome your comments and feedback about our advertising arrangements, so do please get in touch with us via the Contact Details page if you have something to say!
