Setting out to summarize key points from current psychological knowledge and to link the psychological ideas clearly to counselling practice, this book fills a gap which has not, to my knowledge, been well addressed previously. It is not so much a book about 'counselling psychology' as it is a book very definitely about psychology, and just as definitely for counsellors.
